Government/Advocacy

Industry Advocacy is a major component of the Builders Association.  We monitor and react to upcoming issues that affect building and our ability to do business in Alachua County.  These meetings began over 50 years ago and continue to be an excellent liaison meeting with city and county staff.  These meetings may be of special interest to local builders and subcontractors.

City, County, and GRU Liaison Meetings

The City Liaison meetings are held monthly at the City of Gainesville Thomas Center located at 302 NE 6th Avenue, Gainesville, FL from 12pm-1pm. Email sara@bancf.com to sign up. Lunch is $13 per person if you opt in on your RSVP.

State & Federal Advocacy

The Florida Home Builders Association is our local state leading advocate for the building industry; representing Florida’s builder and trade partners before state agencies. They continue to be the forefront of the issues that affect the business environment of our building industry and fighting the unnecessary fees and seeking ways to stop burdensome regulations.
