Not if joining is all you do. The exclusive opportunities are there to grow your business. Your fellow BANCF members are a built-in source of leads and BANCF Members are more likely to do business with other members. Members get together monthly for lunch, there are social events such as golf and fishing outings, and hundreds of committee meetings held throughout the year, all chances to make new business contacts. And, the variety of advertising options exclusively for members lets you target your audience. The opportunity is there – you just have to take advantage of it.
How much does it cost?
Dues fees range from $505 to $1530. ($605: 0-9 homes/lots, under $2 million/year; $730: 10-24 homes/lots, $2 million to $5 million/year; $1030: 25-49 homes/lots, $5 million to $10 million/year; and $1530: 50+ homes/lots, over $10 million/year). Associate members (companies who provide a service or product for the building industry) are a flat rate of $505. That’s less than $2 a day!
I’m in commercial construction. What’s there for me?
BANCF has an active Commercial Builders Council. Their meetings are held every other month and always have programs of interest to those in the commercial field. BANCF also provides a special Commercial section in our published directory and online.
Can BANCF help me with legal questions?
We have an experienced team of attorneys at the National Association of Home Builders to provide free legal research to members. And, they regularly publish reports on “hot” issues.
Does BANCF have information on new products available?
You can see all the latest and most innovative products at both the annual Southeast Builders Conference and the International Builders Show. And, you can get information on new products being tested through the Research Center.
Can I get my continuing education through BANCF?
Yes! BANCF sponsors several classes each year to provide the 14 CE hours for license renewal including all the required classes. In addition, you can take classes at the Southeast Builders Conference as well as online.
Does BANCF have a local office to serve my needs?
Yes! You can visit BANCF’s office in the Northwood Commercial Park in Gainesville anytime from 8am – 5:00 pm, have a cup of coffee or a cold drink and visit with a staff of five professionals ready to help you! You can also reach them easily by phone or email. (contact us)
How will I know what’s going on so I can participate?
Each month you will receive an envelope from BANCF packed with information on everything that is going on that month. You can also access the "Members Only" section of the BANCF Website anytime for the latest on events taking place. As an exclusive member service, you will get a personal call from a BANCF Staff member before each special event to answer questions and/or take your reservation.
I have all the business I need right now. Why should I join?
Because you don’t have the time to personally keep up with what the city and county (and state) are doing that affects your business. And, you don’t have time to set up networking opportunities and research the market to build for the future. BANCF does all that for you.
I sell products nationwide. Can BANCF help me with that?
When you join BANCF, you automatically become a member of the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). That’s over 200,000 companies nationwide! You can market to them through the International Builders Show and the Southeast Builders Conference, and share ideas through online forums just for members. And, you get a discount on NAHB’s mailing list service.
Will I have the opportunity to meet other members?
Yes! You can attend monthly membership meetings (over 175 members attend monthly), you can serve on any committee that interests you – all meet regularly and are made up of members anxious to meet other members. And, you can participate in fun events such as our Annual Golf Tournament, Family Fishing Weekend, and Installation Banquet.
