Scholarship & Educationfacebook

Education is the key to a well-trained professional workforce.  Construction provides more opportunities than other industries for those who want to own and run their own business.  That is why BANCF is actively involved in many aspects of education and training from high school, through the college years and beyond.

Begin your journey in high school.  Through a partnership with Santa Fe College (SFC), School Board of Alachua County and the BANCF, high school juniors and seniors now have the opportunity to dual enroll at SFC for technical education in heating/air, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.  Learn more about the dual enrollment program here.

For many years, BANCF has presented scholarships annually to students in Building Construction at Santa Fe College and the University of Florida totaling over $100,000.  There are a variety of scholarships available for students who want to pursue a career in construction. Criteria for scholarships vary according to the specific scholarship criteria for each one.  Click here for information on scholarships available.

“Earn while you learn” is the answer if you want to be paid a salary while your employer pays for education.  Apprenticeship opportunities in carpentry, electrical, heating/air conditioning and plumbing are available through our Association and Santa Fe College.  For more information on the Apprenticeship Program click here

Become part of an exciting, fulfilling and financially rewarding industry.  Find a career uniquely designed to fit your needs.  Whether you join the building industry while in high school, directly out of high school, technical school, community college, or a four year university, promising opportunities are awaiting you!
