Caring Neighbors…Building Our Community Together!
Our Members share a common goal of creating desirable communities
and fulfilling the American Dream of home ownership. They understand
creating safe and attractive neighborhoods and commercial buildings
does not end with providing quality construction. They know
that the best communities are filled with people who work together
to improve the quality of life for all residents. That is why
so many BANCF members are active in community work, from providing
housing to low-income residents, educational opportunities
and scholarships to students, to working with government in
an effort to keep housing affordable for all. Our members are
committed to our community.
BANCF Community Projects:
BANCF
has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to develop and built
the Celebration Oaks neighborhood. Our members worked behind
the scenes for several years, donating their time and professional
expertise in planning, developing, and engineering to bring
this project to the point it is now…building homes for
Habitat families!
For 2006, plans are underway to build a Habitat Home utilizing
the wide variety of members in our Association which include
bankers, attorneys, engineers, restaurant owners, real estate
professionals, architects and more. They will be shedding
their normal working environments and build a Habitat Home.
Stay tuned!

BANCF members have joined forces to help build a new facility
for the Reichert House program. Members have pledged to supply
materials, labor, and supervision to work towards the completion
of the new 5,000 sq. ft building. After opening its doors in
1987, the Reichert House became an organization committed to
the enhancement of mind, character and values of boys ages
12-18. It continues to provide an academic and social teaching
environment geared toward promoting the minds and talents of
young people. This very successful program is also a youth
intervention and prevention program. This is a wonderful program
for our community and the construction of this new facility
will make a significant contribution to East Gainesville. To
help, call The Reichert House, Tony Jones, (352) 334-2441.
BANCF members volunteer in the classrooms throughout Alachua
County. They speak to classes, participate in career days,
and mentor students interested in a building career. The builders
association also provides scholarships at University of Florida
and Santa Fe Community College for students in building construction.
