Congratulations to Barry Rutenberg
NAHB 2012 Chairman of the Board   

The Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) is proud to announce that Barry Rutenberg, President of Barry Rutenberg and Associates, Inc., was recently sworn in to office as the 2012 Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  Barry, a 39 year BANCF member, has been active at the local, state and national levels throughout his career.   After serving as local President in 1978, he was named Builder of the Year in 1982, 1993, and in 1998.   He brought in over 800 members to the local organization.  He was selected as Florida Builder of the Year in 1994 and served as President of the Florida Home Builders Association in 2000.  In 2007, Barry was inducted into the prestigious Florida Housing Hall of Fame.  

NAHB, a 140,000 member trade association, promotes the policies that make housing a national priority. Since its inception in the early 1940s, NAHB has served as “the voice of America’s housing industry.” Its primary goals are to ensure that housing is a national priority and that all Americans have access to safe, decent and affordable housing.

Barry Rutenberg is a third-generation builder who has built over 1,000 homes during a 39-year career, and earned a reputation for quality construction and exceptional customer satisfaction.

If you have questions on sprucing up your home or garden, the 12th annual North Central Florida’s Home Show has the answers.  The Home Show will take place March 5 & 6, 2011 at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.  Presented by the Builders Association of North Central Florida (BANCF) and The Gainesville Sun, this informative show will feature over 200 booths filled with products and services related to home improvement, landscaping, remodeling, gardening decorating, energy efficiency and home buying.  In addition to the many home and garden exhibits, the Home Show will also include “how to” clinics and the “Ask the Expert” Seminar series to answer questions on home related topics.
